UcanJog2 Terms & Conditions
UCANJOG2’S TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE STANDARD AND ARE BASED UPON COMMON SENSE, ETIQUETTE AND NORMAL EXPECTATIONS FROM A RUNNING COACH AND RUNNING CLUB.
All participants must complete the Health Questionnaire prior to joining a run with UcanJog2. The Health questionnaire is kept on a private computer. All information will be destroyed 6 months after the last session that a runner attends. See below for further details about your data.
UcanJog2’s aim is to provide an opportunity to enjoy a run in a safe and supporting environment. The sessions are led and consist of a warm up, a planned run and cool down stretch.
All sessions are suitable for ladies of all levels with Participants having an opportunity to increase or decrease their mileage wherever possible. Participants are encouraged to group together with runners of a similar pace.
So that the group stay together during a run and avoid leaving anyone behind, UcanJog2 will always try to group members of a similar pace together to keep momentum and enjoyment for runners of a similar ability.
There are times that this may not be possible so to keep the group together and without leaving anyone behind runners agree to ‘loop’ back or the pit stop system. This is where front runners can either ‘loop’ back to the back runner or ‘pit stop’ and wait for the group to re-join.
By being a member of UcanJog2 you agree to the loop back or pit stop system which ensures that the group stay together and the group can run as a mixed ability group without leaving anyone behind. Of course these systems are always kept to a minimum wherever possible.
UcanJog2 is very proud to provide a running club that is one of inclusivity and UcanJog2 will not tolerate any exclusion of any member, Run Leader or anyone associated to UcanJog2. UcanJog2 has the right to ask members to leave the group if they are disruptive and/or put other members’ enjoyment at risk and this includes any form of exclusion.
Every member of UcanJog2 should be treated with dignity and respect.
UcanJog2 is committed to providing a welcoming, friendly and safe environment for ladies to enjoy running and improve their mental health. We aim to ensure that all Members and Run Leaders are treated, and treat others, with dignity and respect.
All intellectual property rights to the contents of the UcanJog2 website (including, but not limited to text, images, audio and video) are the property of UcanJog2. Intellectual property rights include, but are not limited to, all copyright and trade names.
In the unlikely event that any UcanJog2 Member fails to comply with any of the membership rules set out in these terms and conditions then we reserve the right to end your membership with the club if the matter cannot be resolved.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
UcanJog2 reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Where we consider any change to be material, we will aim to provide 30 days’ notice prior to such change taking effect.
UcanJog2 members are invited to contact Club Owner, Debra Geard should they wish to discuss their individual training plans or any issues that may occur. You can contact Debra via Whattsapp 07854859057 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Office hours are Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. Responses will be made within 48 hours however every effort will be made to respond immediately wherever possible. Debra will be available after every club run session for general discussion and to address any individual requirements.
If you need urgent responses for example information for an imminent club run such as times, meet location, route, please post on the Private Facebook page for other club members to respond.
UcanJog2 Club Membership
UcanJog2 Club membership is due annually on 1st September.
As a UcanJog2 Member you have access to all the run sessions, social events, opportunities to run as part of the club either in the UK or abroad, access to all social media (detailed below), private club groups, joining the Private Facebook group, UcanJog2 Club on Strava and inclusion of the Club Whattsapp group for all Club information and updates as well as the many other organised social events and run events.

Discounted Race Entry
UcanJog2 does often seek and gain their own discount rates for large entries. When this is the case you will be informed on how to enter to benefit from this.

Primal Therapy Sports Therapists
Pre Screening: A qualified therapist from Primal Therapy will arrange free Pre Screening for all UcanJog2 Members. The pre screening is 10-15 minutes per club member and may take place in groups but individually with a therapist.
Treatment. 15% discount off Treatment of your choice at Primal Therapy for you and one other named person of your choice.
Regular team advice via Zoom or similar and in person when possible to address common injuries, how to prevent and any muscular condition that needs addressing to best benefit the team.
Provide pre/post surgery advice and rehabilitation
Social Media presence addressing the team with running related posts
Help, advice and treatment with any pelvic floor related or pre/post natal pregnancy treatment.
Nutrition Coaching from – Debra Geard
A discounted and individualised Nutrition Coaching package to support you in working towards your goals. Which include, Nutrition for Running, Fat Loss, Health, Menopause, Weight Gain, Strength etc.
Regular UcanJog2 Nutrition Q&A’s either via Zoom or in person.
UcanJog2 bespoke Nutrition Workshops to support our running
Support your running with personalised personal training to focus on individual goals with a focus on strengthening muscles to support running and daily life. Club members will receive the preferential rate of £25 per 1hour session.
Social Media Platforms
UcanJog2 Private Facebook Group – Pink Ladies Run
All UcanJog2 Members can request to join this private group. This group is for members to keep abreast with all the UcanJog2 information as well as a place to share information about runs, inspiration, photos and to discuss anything club or running related. All members may post, respond and comment to posts. Please note that the membership rules relating to dignity, respect and inclusion apply equally to all private social media platforms. Any content that UcanJog2 considers in its sole discretion does not adhere to these principles or is inappropriate or defamatory will be removed.
UcanJog2 Public Facebook Page
This page is to promote UcanJog2 and publish run photos. If you prefer to not have your photo included on a public Facebook page please remove yourself at the time of the photo being taken and make it known to your leader that you do not wish to be included in published photos.
This group is for members to motivate and congratulate each other on their running achievements, to motivate when needed and feel part of a club on Strava.
UcanJog2 Social Events
UcanJog2 Members are invited to participate in all social events. Some social events include purchasing a ticket. If UcanJog2 is the host of a social event, please refer to the specific event cancellation and refund policy that will be published at the time of booking. Where UcanJog2 is not the host but the Club organiser booking as a group through a third party or Business, UcanJog2 cannot be held responsible for any event cancellation or refund if an event is cancelled or changed. Any monies paid by a Member as part of a group booking are subject to the terms and conditions of such third party and UcanJog2 shall have no liability to any Member.
UcanJog2 – Running in the UK or Abroad
UcanJog2 organise day events and weekends away in the UK and Abroad. These events are exclusively for UcanJog2 Members. Members must be attending weekly run sessions on a regular basis to attend. ‘Regular Basis’ is at least one session per week for a continuous period of 3 months.
UCanJog2 have official club kit. You do not need to wear club kit to attend a weekly run although it is always preferred. Club kit will be ordered by UcanJog2 at regular intervals. The logo and lettering on the T-shirts and colour of the lettering of the logos are non-negotiable. It is optional to have your name printed on your T-shirt or Vest top.
UcanJog2 is a not an Affiliated club so we are not eligible for any race discounts. You can however still put UcanJog2 down as your club even when you tick the box to being Non Affiliated. UcanJog2 does often seek and gain their own discount rates for large entries. When this is the case you will be informed on how to enter to benefit from this.
All fees are available to view via the app or website.
New and prospective Members: Can pay for a Single session before committing to a block of sessions.
Members: Pay as you Go
A minimum payment for 6 sessions is required in advance and may vary in cost from £27.00 (£4.50 per session) to £33.00 (£5.50 per session), depending on individuals running ability (“Session Fee”). Payment should be made via the app. Members can pay for any quantity of sessions in advance with the minimum being 6. It is your responsibility to ensure you remain ‘in credit’ with your sessions. You can attend any weekly session of your choice, you do not have to attend the same session each week and your pre-paid sessions remain valid for 12 months from the date of payment. You can attend as many weekly runs as suits with the Session Fee being deducted from your prepaid fee. Members will not be charged when they are on holiday or absent for any reason. Pre- paid sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Monthly Direct Debit
If a Club Member prefers to pay by monthly direct debit, the cost will be £38 per month payable via the app. Club Members will be able to attend as many club runs as they wish included in this monthly fee.
If you wish to cancel or switch to Pay as you Go you are reasonably requested to give one months’ notice. If the direct debit is cancelled by the Member for any reason and then decides to resume the direct debit payment option , a reset up fee will be applied.
Session Booking and Payment System
All run sessions are to be booked using the UcanJog2 website or Fit by Wix app. Sessions can be booked in advance without a limit and up to 8 hours prior to a run session. If you need to cancel your session you can cancel up to 8 hours prior to a run without incurring a Session Fee. If cancellation is less than 8 hours the Session Fee will be forfeited.
Members will be able to manage their own booking and amend or cancel their booked session via the Fit by Wix app or via the Website.
UcanJog2 Learn to Run Course
The UcanJog2 Learn to Run Course is an 8 week consecutive course, with one run session per week. No refunds will be given if the attendee does not arrive for the course. Spaces on the UcanJog2 Learn to Run Courses are limited and all places must be secured with full payment prior to course commencement. Please be aware of UcanJog2’s refund policy for the Learn to Run Courses:
It is your responsibility to attend the running course and UcanJog2 will not offer a refund for the course unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Upon booking, there is NO transfer of the payment to the next beginner’s course.
UcanJog2 Meeting Location
UcanJog2 consider Abbots Free Car Park as the ‘home’ meeting location but to provide variety, meeting locations can be moved to suit the session and the weather conditions. Meeting location will be communicated in advance by either the Spaces by Wix app, Whattsapp or Facebook. It is the responsibility of the Member to check the meeting location. UcanJog2 is not responsible if a Member is at the incorrect meeting location, a Session Fee will still be deducted. All meeting locations are saved as a File on the private FB page with a map link.
Running during Covid-19
UcanJog2 are a member of England Athletics and RunTogether and adhere to both these organisations as well as the government guidelines of leading run sessions during Covid-19.
UCanJog2 is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. For any personal data you provide for the purposes of your membership, UCanJog2 is the Data Controller and is responsible for processing that data in a fair, lawful, secure and transparent way.
What personal data do we hold?
You may give us information about you by filling in forms at an event or online (e.g. the Pre-Exercise Questionnaire) or by corresponding by phone, email or other means. This information may include your name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number and medical information.
Why we need your personal data
The reason we need your data is to be able to manage your membership, and provide the membership services you are signing up to when you register with the club. Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is that we have an obligation to you as a member to provide the services you are registering for.
If you do not want UCanJog2 to publish your name or photo on our social media pages or club website, you may opt out of this. Please contact us at email@example.comI
If you share health information please be assured that this will remain confidential with your Run Leader unless you specifically consent to it being shared with others. Information on your health is considered ‘special category data’ and to the extent that we process such information, we do so on the lawful basis of consent. We will therefore ask for your explicit consent to process this data at the point of collecting it.
From time to time, we may collect personal data from non-members, e.g. those who want to try an introductory session. This information will be stored for  months after receiving it and then destroyed securely. Our lawful basis for processing data is consent and we will therefore ask for consent from non-members to process this data at the point of collection.
UCanJog2 uses social media including Facebook. If you join one of the social media pages, please note that the provider of the social media platform(s) have their own privacy policies and that UCanJog2 does not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data on the club social media pages or groups.
Who we share your personal data with
If you join a group booking for a social event organised by UCanJog2 through a third party, your data may be passed to that third party if required for the booking. UCanJog2 does not supply any personal data it holds to any other third party without your consent. The club does not store or transfer your personal data outside of the EEA.
How long we hold your personal data
UCanJog2 will hold your personal data on file for as long as you are a member. Any personal data we hold on you will be securely destroyed after  years of inactivity (being your last attendance at a run session).
Your rights regarding your personal data
As a data subject you have the right at any time to request access to erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to certain kinds of processing of your personal data, including direct marketing; to the portability of your personal data and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office about the processing of your personal data.
As a data subject you are not obliged to share your personal data with UCanJog2. If you choose not to share your personal data with us, we may not be able to register or administer your membership.
